€400 million to support Smart Cities & Sustainable Development in Belgium [1]

Created thanks to an agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Belfius Bank, the 'Smart Cities & Sustainable Development' programme will support Belgian cities & towns in becoming sustainable and smart.

Launched beginning of June 2014, the €400 million financing scheme will allow Belgian local authorities to benefit from preferential rate loans for the implementation of their "smart and sustainable" mobility, urban development and energy efficiency projects. The (...)
