Covenant of Mayors recognised as key Energy Security action by European Commission [1]

The Covenant of Mayors has been cited as a “key action” to moderate energy demand in the recently-published European Commission Energy Security paper. Energy Cities strongly welcomes this recognition of the Covenant strategic dimension, following a letter our President addressed early May to Commissioner Oettinger about the need to accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Energy Action Plans.
